Don’t take your health for granted. Make it a top priority—even when you’re feeling healthy and well.

  • Make sure to have an annual physical exam. (From the Employee Assistance Program Web site, click on the “Women’s Health” or “Men’s Health” link in the Well-Being Centers section. Then, click on “How to Optimize Communication Between You and Your Doctor.”)
  • Learn about tests that men and women shouldn’t miss. (From the Employee Assistance Program Web site, under the “My Health & Well-Being” tab, click on the “View Health Encyclopedia” link and then “Special Topics.” Click on the “P” link and then “Preventive health care.”)

You can also find a list of recommended screenings on the Healthy Lifestyles Program Web site. Under the “My Guide” tab, click on the “Screenings” link.

  • Get advice and tools to help you manage your weight. (From the Employee Assistance Program Web site, click on the “Nutrition & Fitness Center” link in the Life Stages Center section.)
  • Learn steps to prevent heart disease. (From the Employee Assistance Program Web site, under the “My Health & Well-Being” tab, click on “Health & Wellness” and then “Heart Disease and Circulatory Disorders.”)
  • Get the facts about smoking and how to stop. (From the Employee Assistance Program Web site, click on the “Quitting Smoking” link in the Life Stages Center section.)
